Younger People and Vaping
Understanding the Risks and Harm
Thursday 16 November 6:30pm
To
be held in the West Gippsland Arts Centre Fountain Room
Baw Baw
Shire Council, in collaboration with West Gippsland Healthcare Group,
Gippsland Regional Public Health Unit, Victoria Police, and VicHealth,
cordially invites the community to attend an important informational
session on the dangers of vaping.
The session will be
conducted by Sharon Torpey, the Founder and Director of Drug Education
Australia. This informative talk will commence at 6:30pm and cover a
wide range of topics, including the alarming presence of over 200 harmful
chemicals in e-cigarettes and practical steps to reduce usage or quit
altogether. This event coincides with the intriguing 'What's really in
a vape?' sculpture, currently exhibited at the West Gippsland Arts
Centre from November 6th to 27th. This sculpture serves as an eye-opening
representation of the hidden dangers lurking within vaping devices.
We
warmly encourage all members of the community to attend this free
information night and gain valuable insights into the risks associated
with vaping. Your presence and engagement will contribute to building a
healthier and more informed community. We hope to see you there.
