Sublime and stunning!

Timo-Veikko Valve, Principal Cello of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, performs and directs the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in this program of music arranged for string orchestra.

Experience sublime works by Mozart and Bach, and the stunning Wiima by Finnish composer Jaakko Kuusisto. Schumann’s soulful Cello Concerto completes an evening celebrating this beautiful instrument.

Bach - Prelude in E-flat BWV1010
Bach (arr. Mozart) - Fugue in E-flat
Mozart (arr. Valve) - String Quartet No.15 KV421 arranged for String Orchestra
J. Kuusisto - Wiima
Schumann - Cello Concerto arranged for String Orchestra
