We are not the first – nor will we be the last – to walk on
this land.
Walking on stone and cement it can be hard to
remember what it feels like to have earth beneath our feet. Na Djinang
Circus hopes to re-discover a connection we once had.
Through
impressive acrobatic skill and personal storytelling, Of The Land on
Which We Meet follows the journey of three contemporary Australian
circus artists with distinct relationships to Country; an indigenous
Australian, a descendant of migrants, and a descendant of colonial
settlers, as we question what it means to be where we are.

Djinang Circus is a Melbourne-based contemporary circus company working
with diverse young artists to share unique insight with the next
generation's Hands & Feet. This production is supported by Melbourne
Fringe, The City of Melbourne, The City of Maribyrnong, Craig Semple,
Creative Victoria, Creative Australia, The Women’s Circus and Regional
Arts Victoria.
