Oh Carole
with Mark Jones & Gina Hogan
Friday 14 March 11:00am
They
were two of the biggest hit-makers of the 60s and 70s - and they dated in
high school! Yes, Neil Sedaka hired a tux, borrowed his dad’s car
and drove Carole King to the prom!
They never wrote a song
together but continued to support and inspire each other as they worked
side by side in New York’s legendary hit factory, The Brill Building,
churning out hit after hit! (Neil’s million seller ‘Oh Carol’
was inspired by their years of puppy love).
Their hits include
‘Will You Love Me Tomorrow’, ‘Calendar Girl’, ‘I’m Into Something Good’,
‘Is This the Way to Amarillo?, ‘Natural Woman’, ‘Stupid Cupid’, ‘The
Locomotion’, ‘Breaking Up Is Hard to Do’, ‘Little Devil’, ‘It’s Too Late’,
‘Solitaire’, ‘Love Will Keep Us Together’, ‘Crying in The Rain’, ‘Go Away
Little Girl’, ‘Laughter in The Rain’, ‘I Feel the Earth Move’, ‘You’ve Got
A Friend’, and many more!
Oh Carole! celebrates young
love, a lifelong friendship and songs that go ‘Doo, Dooby Doo, Wah Wah’.
It’s a toe-tapping tribute to the most joyful era of pop music and two of
the greatest songwriters of all time!
