Chamber Series Masterclass

Tim Francis & Andrew Young are hosting a special 70-Minute Trumpet Masterclass after their Lunchtime Chamber Series performance at West Gippsland Arts Centre.

The Lunchtime Chamber Series is an initiative by Niels Bijl and West Gippsland Arts Centre, bringing world-class musicians to Warragul. Audiences can enjoy performances, and participate in exclusive masterclasses with some of Australia's finest musicians.

Tim Francis is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music Griffith University, the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg im Breisgau and the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin. Timothy joined Orchestra Victoria as their Associate Principal Trumpet at the start of 2020.

Andrew Young has completed a Bachelor of Music with Geoff Collinson at the University of Melbourne and continued his studies at the Australian National Academy of Music under Geoff Lierse, Ben Jacks, and Andrew Bain. Andrew then studied abroad at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, where he attained a Master of Music and a Soloist Diploma under the tutelage of Professor Esa Tapani.

Tim Francis & Andrew Young's exclusive 70-minute Masterclass is limited to a maximum of 5 students and takes place in West Gippsland Arts Centre's Lyrebird Room.
