Comedy Stand Up

Deaf Bridges

Friday 26 June 7:00pm
Theatre Two

Ben Richardson is a sign language interpreter and stand-up comedian. He tells jokes in English and in Auslan, so you can see and hear him be funny at the same time. Deaf Bridges is a show that builds a bridge between the Deaf and hearing worlds through comedy.

It tells stories about sign language interpreting, teaching Auslan, Deaf culture, and connecting the community with hearing people. During the show, Ben teaches elements of sign language to prepare for the Deaf revolution he is helping to initiate.

If you ever wanted to learn, laugh and become fluent in Auslan, then this show is guaranteed to help that dream!

“Fun and informative. You'll learn the best AUSLAN phrase you can hope to learn in a comedy show.”- Amy T, Fringe World.
